From mining engineer background (Nancy – France), I have held almost all industrial positions, largely in an international and multicultural environment:
One million tons of cement per year production management: production planning, team management, skills development, cost management, stocks, maintenance operations (refractories, etc.), development of new products and special products.
First in France, then on international basis, numerous workshop audits, thermal balances, etc. leading to the most relevant recommendations (fast, efficient, realistic). "Debottlenecking" missions [find the limits of production lines and provide answers to maximize production], “due diligence”. Finally, all this experience made possible designing various tools or calculation models to facilitate the work of engineers on site and in technical centers.
Focusing on training needs assessment, development of learning organizations, flexible training modules overcoming the language issues, “train of trainers”, "Problem solving"...
In multi-sites Business Units: monitoring and benchmarking of sites performance via KPIs [Key Performance Index], conventional ones or developed for specific projects, local implementation of Group projects…
To develop their professional skills and their ability to share their knowledge, but also of plant operators more targeted on their operation skills and SOPs implementation (Standard Operating Procedures).
Of new workshops or new sites, at each stage: initial design, discussions with suppliers, study of contracts, construction until start-up and performance tests…
This professional path has led me to work in more than 20 countries and towards a long and fruitful expatriation in China. Beyond a large experience suitable in many configurations, I thus have now quite easy communication, especially:
September 9th, 2016: Presentation during Chinese Cement Producers International Congress.
